Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Project Engineer Manager to lead engineering and construction projects in a mining environment. You will make technical decisions and ensure safe, compliant project execution while advancing new processes and engineering skills.

Responsibilities include defining scope, managing the full project lifecycle from concept to commissioning, maintaining safety standards, and developing schedules, cost estimates, and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years in Project Management and 3+ years in Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience in Mining, Construction, or Heavy Industry.
• Proficiency with Excel, AutoCAD and MS Project.
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope of work, WBS, deliverables, design criteria, and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Manage projects through conceptualization, feasibility, engineering, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance on projects.
• Develop project schedules, critical path, resources, and risk analysis.
• Prepare cost estimates, cash flow, and track progress.
• Implement project controls for safety, scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and communication.
• Prepare project reports and maintain documents.
• Maintain effective two-way communication with stakeholders.

Job description

The Project Engineer Manager manages engineering and construction projects in a mining environment, makes technical decisions, ensures safe and compliant execution of projects, and is eager to learn new processes, technologies, and engineering and management skills.

Essential Functions

• Work with internal clients and stakeholders to develop scope of work, WBS, list of deliverables, main design criteria, project acceptance criteria, project KPI's, and select qualified engineering firms and contractors.
• Manage projects through different phases, conceptualization, feasibility study, engineering, construction, and commissioning.
• Responsible for the safety and environmental compliance on assigned projects.
• Develop projects schedule, define Critical Path, define required resources, and identify project risks and constraints.
• Develop project cost estimate and monthly cash flows and monitor project progress.
• Implement project controls related to safety and environmental compliance, scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and communication.
• Prepare project reports and maintain project documents.
• Build and maintain a positive and constructive two-way communication with project stakeholders.

• In addition to project management experience, the candidate must have experience in at least two of these categories (Concentrator, Leaching process and industrial construction).

Education and Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum three (3) years in Project Management and 3 years in Engineering.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in Mining, Construction, or Heavy Industry
