Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science or health-related field required.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in clinical research with 5+ years in project management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience overseeing global studies or portfolios.

For our client, we are seeking a Project Director - Oncology to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead the coordination and delivery of complex clinical development initiatives across global oncology programs. The Project Director will partner closely with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive execution, maintain alignment on scope and budgets, and support high-quality trial outcomes. This is a highly visible leadership position focused on project governance, risk management, inspection readiness, and consistent portfolio oversight in a fast-paced regulated environment.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $162,000 – $243,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client liaison and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Oversee all aspects of clinical trials and maintain consistency across portfolios.
• Direct project managers in trial planning, execution, and closure.
• Manage study budgets and ensure compliance with project scope.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with proactive risk management strategies.
• Ensure quality management and inspection readiness for assigned projects.
• Prepare project status updates and lead internal and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science or health-related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in clinical research, including 5+ years in project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, eTMF, EDC, and CTMS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Experience managing complex global studies or portfolios.
