Exscape Designs, a growing design-build firm in Northeast Ohio, seeks a Project Director/Designer to lead projects from concept to completion. You will blend creative design, client relationship management, and business development in a collaborative, ownership-driven culture.

Responsibilities include designing with AutoCAD/SketchUp/Lumion, driving sales, preparing estimates, and managing scope and invoices. 3–5 years in landscape design plus a degree are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in landscape or hardscape design and estimating, with a background in sales.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Lumion.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong planning, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a respectful, collaborative workplace.
• Demonstrated business acumen and a strong sense of personal accountability.
• Preferred: Landscape Architecture degree, Aspire ERP experience, performance management and community involvement.

Exscape Designs, a rapidly growing and highly awarded design-build company, has been creating exceptional outdoor living spaces across Northeast Ohio since 2004. We are seeking a Project Director / Designer to join our Design Build Division. This unique role offers the opportunity to lead projects from initial concept through completion, combining creative design, client relationship management, and business development. Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and practical landscape and hardscape designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Lumion to address client needs and site challenges.
• Lead business development efforts, including prospecting, lead generation, and sales to grow the client base and achieve revenue goals.
• Prepare accurate project estimates to ensure alignment with client vision and company profitability targets.
• Define project scope, solicit and review subcontractor bids, and approve invoices to maintain quality and budget adherence.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout the design and build process, providing clear and professional updates on project progress.
• Monitor project workflow, tracking backlog, in-progress, and completed work to optimize resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee subcontractors, ensure quality standards, and maintain project schedules.
• Foster long-term client relationships through follow-up meetings at 30 days, 6 months, and one year post-completion to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.

Compensation

$60,000–$80,000 base salary plus commission/bonus
