Job summary

Exscape Designs, a leading design-build firm in Northeast Ohio, seeks a results-driven Project Manager to own high-visibility outdoor projects from contract signing to walkthrough. You will coordinate clients, crews, and vendors, develop schedules, and monitor budgets to protect gross margins.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in landscape or construction PM, a bachelor’s in CM or related field, and proven ability to deliver on time and on budget. ASPIRE/ERP experience and certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in landscape or construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business management, or related field.
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with ASPIRE Landscape or ERP systems and Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as CLP, Landscape Industry Certified Manager, PMP, CAPM, or CSM are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of assigned outdoor design-build projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate weekly crew assignments and resources.
  • Monitor budgets, forecast revenue, and protect gross margins.
  • Ensure site safety and adherence to company standards.
  • Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to improve margins.
  • Document and track change orders; ensure projects are built as sold.
  • Improve project management processes and fleet/equipment planning.
  • Lead and motivate crews; manage schedules and time off.
  • Participate in Snow Operations during winter and provide event support as needed.
  • Track KPIs such as gross margin, invoicing, and operating expenses.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of assigned outdoor design-build projects, from pre-construction planning through project closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal crews, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate weekly crew assignments, and ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure projects are delivered at or above estimated gross margins.
  • Oversee job site safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors, including negotiating pricing to improve division margins.
  • Document, execute, and track change orders to ensure projects are built as sold.
  • Continuously improve project management processes, including fleet and equipment planning.
  • Lead and motivate project crews, manage schedules and time off, and foster a positive team environment.
  • Participate in Snow Operations during the winter season, including plan development, area management, and event support as needed.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics such as gross margin, invoicing, operating expenses, time performance, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the landscape or construction industry, preferably in a small-business setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business management, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Preferred: Experience with ASPIRE Landscape or similar ERP systems, Microsoft Project, and industry certifications such as CLP, Landscape Industry Certified Manager, PMP, CAPM, or CSM.
Compensation

$60,000-$80,000 base salary plus bonus/incentive opportunities
