Job summary

Management Recruiters of Davidson seeks a strategic Project Development Manager to drive growth in the Northeast by early engagement with engineers, architects, EPCs, and other decision-makers. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are specified early and won.

Responsibilities include building a strong pipeline, developing pursuit strategies, and coordinating Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Project Development to win complex coating projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or technical discipline) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of sales experience in project selling and specification influence in Industrial Paint and Coatings.
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Analytical mindset with pipeline management expertise (Salesforce preferred).

• Build and manage a strategic pipeline within your territory
• Develop and execute project pursuit strategies
• Cultivate relationships with engineers, architects, EPCs, consultants, and owners
• Coordinate across Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Project Development teams
• Manage the full project-selling lifecycle (pipeline growth through final outcomes)
• Use Salesforce for tracking, reporting, and opportunity management
• Build and execute annual pursuit and specification plans

Summary: Seeking a strategic, collaborative Project Development Manager in the Northeast to support an assigned territory. You’ll drive project growth by engaging early with engineers, architects, EPCs, and other key decision-makers, leading cross-functional teams to ensure the company is specified early and wins projects.

• Bachelor’s degree (or technical discipline) or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of sales experience in project selling and specification influence in Industrial Paint and Coatings.
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams

Physical Requirements:

• Minimal physical activity; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Extended computer use (up to 8 hours/day)
• Occasional exposure to chemicals
• Travel up to 50% by car or air (including overnight stays)
