Job summary

HOK Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Interior Designer to lead all phases of the design process, guiding strategic design direction and mentoring junior designers across sectors to create impactful spaces.

You will oversee project lifecycle from contract negotiation to construction administration, manage budgets, coordinate teams, and cultivate strong client relationships while representing the firm at industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in interior design, architecture, or related discipline.
• NCIDQ certification is required; if registered as an Architect, NCARB registration is preferred.
• 10+ years experience as Interior Designer in relevant firms.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and MS Office.
• LEED accreditation required within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of high-quality, innovative design concepts aligned with client objectives and budget.
• Oversee all project phases from contract negotiation to construction administration.
• Assess material needs and costs, coordinate bid processes, and support fabrication and logistics.
• Foster collaboration across disciplines and with vendors/contractors.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the design team and mentor junior staff.
• Cultivate strong client relationships and represent the firm at industry events.
• Contribute to marketing efforts with compelling presentations and award submissions.
