Job summary

Jacobs in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Project Design Lead to drive end-to-end tool installation design packages for state-of-the-art semiconductor projects. You will coordinate across structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams and serve as the primary client interface, managing scope, schedule, and budget with minimal oversight.

Ideal candidates bring a degree in engineering or construction management (or 5+ years of equivalent), 2+ years in semiconductor tool install design, and

Qualifications

• Engineering or related degree or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• 2+ years semiconductor tool install design experience.
• Experience leading design coordination and construction drawing development.
• Strong client interaction and relationship track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and scope.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, etc.).
• Ideally semiconductor, cleanroom or industrial projects experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Quickbase.
• Team lead experience and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of complex tool installation design packages.
• Coordinate across structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams.
• Interface with clients through frequent communication.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget to ensure timely execution.
• Oversee 10–15 concurrent tool packages with minimal supervision.
• Conduct field verifications to confirm design accuracy and constructability.
