Job summary

World Market is seeking a Senior Supply Chain/Operations Project Lead to steer large-scale improvements across its distribution network in the US. You will identify issues, develop solutions, and drive cross-functional initiatives leveraging data analytics, Tableau, SQL, and Excel to optimize processes and performance.

Responsibilities include developing end-to-end supply chain solutions, presenting plans for approval, and delivering KPI-driven reporting to executives and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/analytical field is preferred.
• Master’s degree in business or supply chain is a plus.
• 4 years of experience in supply chain management or related field.
• LEAN/Six Sigma experience (Green belt or higher) is a plus.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a project-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to state case for change and drive improvement.
• Understanding of distribution operations, planning, and transportation methods.

• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to improve product velocity and flow through the supply chain.
• Travel to Windsor, Virginia and Stockton, California distribution centers as needed.

Job description

• Lead large projects focused on improving operations and processes across World Market’s supply chain


• Identify problems, develop solutions, prioritize initiatives, execute projects, and communicate recommendations


• Work cross-functionally to identify and drive operational and process improvement projects


• Develop end-to-end supply chain solutions using World Market volume, systems, and partnerships


• Analyze large datasets using quantitative, modeling, mathematical, statistical, financial, and sensitivity-analysis methods


• Develop project plans, present plans for approval, and drive project management tasks, resource identification, and implementation planning


• Communicate progress on deliverables vertically and horizontally


• Provide cost-benefit analyses and go-forward recommendations to executive management and business partners


• Develop KPIs, metrics, and periodic reporting to drive execution and process improvement


• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to improve product velocity and flow through the supply chain


• Optimize physical buildings, utilities, manufacturing/warehouse equipment, tooling, office devices, and facility layouts


• Identify technologies and processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and network design


• Interface with Manufacturing, Planning, Transportation, and Commercial strategies


• Travel to the Windsor, Virginia and Stockton, California distribution centers based on business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical/analytical discipline or related field preferred

• Thorough understanding of distribution operations, supply/demand planning, and/or transportation methods/modes


• Hands-on experience with Tableau, SQL, Excel, and other data analytic tools


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to travel up to 50%


• Daily reporting to the local facility is required at the Windsor, Virginia or Stockton, California distribution center
