Job summary

3M seeks a seasoned leader to drive large-scale supply chain and logistics improvement initiatives. You will oversee cross-functional project teams, optimize processes, and champion automation in distribution centers.

Responsibilities include defining project scopes, managing budgets, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver measurable performance gains while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, business or related field.
• PMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma related Project Management certification.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, distribution, or operations excellence.
• 5+ years of experience in project leadership or operations excellence.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
• Certifications in CSCP, CLTD, SC Pro or APICS.
• Experience implementing automation in fulfillment/distribution centers.
• Transformation management experience.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, decision-influencing, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Must provide education and work history.

• Lead and oversee complex, cross-functional supply chain and logistics improvement initiatives
• Drive project execution within 3M distribution centers, focusing on operational efficiency, automation, and process optimization
• Develop, implement, and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
• Lead multiple medium- to large-scale cross-functional supply chain project teams, or a single high-risk/high-opportunity project
• Refine project scope and oversee complete project plans and Work Breakdown Structures
• Facilitate project planning with clients and stakeholders
• Generate and execute communication plans
• Leverage global supply chain/logistics resources and external contacts to complete deliverables
• Forecast and control approved project budgets and oversee or authorize vendor payments
• Promote project management processes and tools and incorporate improvements
• Mentor and coach current and future team leaders
• Provide training on project leadership tools and methodologies
• Guide team members and coordinate activities across multiple teams
• Maintain functional expertise and knowledge of relevant trends, safety regulations, and policies

Requirements
