Rose Paving LLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Project Accounting Specialist to partner with Project Managers and operations teams to capture and assign all costs to the correct jobs. This role is not a traditional accounting position; it focuses on accuracy, collaboration, and proactive problem solving to ensure complete project costing.

You will work with project costs, vendor invoices, and POs to maintain clean job-cost data and provide timely financial visibility for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in project coordination, construction administration, or related roles.
• Experience in construction, paving, field services, or a project-based business preferred.
• Accounting background or degree is nice to have but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data.
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, ERP systems, and financial data.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Project Managers to maintain accurate project cost information throughout a job.
• Review project costs to ensure labor, materials, subcontractors, and other expenses are charged correctly.
• Identify missing or misattributed costs and coordinate corrections with teams.
• Review vendor invoices and purchase orders for proper job assignment and coding.
• Monitor open purchase orders and commitments to reflect expected costs.
• Assist in understanding project financials and investigate cost or margin differences.
• Ensure timely processing of project-related invoices and costs for accurate performance views.
• Help close projects by identifying missing invoices and unrecorded costs.
• Document supporting project costs and financial activity for auditability.
• Contribute to improving job-costing processes across the organization.
