Job summary

Aecon is seeking a Project Coordinator in the Aecon Utilities segment to support the successful delivery of utility construction projects. You will coordinate project administration, scheduling, procurement, and reporting across multiple locations in North America, working with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure compliance and timely execution.

The role emphasizes documentation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience in the utility construction industry is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication; highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project administration, scheduling, construction activities, and overall execution.
• Identify, document, and track change requests to support scope management.
• Analyze project data and generate reports for decision-making and tracking.
• Manage billing, payroll, purchase orders, procurement, and monthly financial activities.
• Coordinate utility locates and maintain training records for compliance.
• Manage ordering and distribution of project branding materials.
• Coordinate closeout activities including final billing and testing documentation.
