Job summary

Lexicon, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator to ensure materials are ordered, schedules are kept, and change notices are tracked. The role supports the Engineering Department and coordinates detailing activities for steel fabrication and erection projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management, 3–4 years of experience, and strong communication and computer skills. Regular attendance and overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum 3–4 years’ experience with steel fabrication and erection.
• Familiar with AISC and building code requirements.
• Detail oriented with ability to read and index drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Department Manager in selecting detailers for projects.
• Prepare and maintain detailing schedules for approvals and shop issues.
• Assist in preparing Advanced Bill of Materials for small projects.
• Ensure all technical submittals are made and reviewed.
• Review detailing and vendor submittals; handle RFI questions.
• Follow up on extra work items and changes; assist in detailing drawings.
