Job summary

Lexicon in Arkansas is seeking a Project Coordinator to ensure materials are ordered, schedules are kept, change notices are followed up on, and RFIs documented.

The role supports the Engineering Department Manager and coordinates detailing and shop issues for steel fabrication projects. You will prepare Advanced Bill of Materials, review submittals, and maintain filing, scanning and indexing of drawings. Overtime and punctual attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3–4 years of steel fabrication/erection experience.
• Familiar with AISC and building code requirements.
• Detailing experience by hand or computer.
• Strong communication, math and computer literacy; proficient in Word, Excel and Project.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Department Manager in selecting detailer and review production orders.
• Prepare and maintain detailing schedule for approvals and shop issues.
• Assist in preparing Advanced Bill of Materials for small projects.
• Ensure all technical submittals are made and review vendor submittals.
• Handle incoming/outgoing Requests for Information.
• Follow up on extra work items; assist in detailing drawings.
