Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a Detailing Manager to oversee all detailing activities and serve as the liaison between structural detailers, engineers and project managers. You will supervise detailing firms, coordinate designs, negotiate scopes and schedules, and ensure fabrication drawings meet requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction/Project Management or related and five years of relevant experience, plus proficiency in Tekla Structures, Blue Beam, and Adobe Pro.

Qualifications

• Experience in a structural steel detailing department.
• Detailing knowledge and ability to display complex plate assemblies on drawings.
• Knowledge of Tekla Structures software and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee detailing activities and liaison between detailers, engineers and project managers.
• Manage detailing firms including detailers, checkers and modelers.
• Coordinate project design with engineers for connections and calculations.
• Negotiate detailing contracts, scopes and costs.
• Track detailing schedules with project coordinators and managers.
• Review fabrication drawings for accuracy and presentation.
• Program robots to fabricate steel members.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations; attend daily meetings.
