Job summary

Dean Snyder Construction is seeking a Project Coordinator I in Gretna, NE to support the Project Management team with project setup, documentation, job cost workflows, and subcontractor compliance. You will work with industry software and Excel to manage contracts, change orders, pay apps, invoices, and closeout details.

You will also assist with bid outreach, permits, plan distribution, and project logs, helping keep information accurate, organized, and moving forward.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of administrative, billing, bookkeeping, or project support experience (construction a plus).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to organize, proofread, and reconcile documents with accuracy.
• Willingness to learn industry-specific software and processes.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently after training.

Responsibilities

• Set up new projects in company systems and enter estimates for job cost tracking.
• Prepare and send project contracts using industry software.
• Track documents and maintain project files current and complete.
• Collect, verify, and maintain subcontractor requirements (COIs, lien waivers, pay apps).
• Perform credit checks and confirm bonding when needed.
• Keep compliance documentation accurate and easy to find.
• Enter and maintain commitments, change orders, and back charges.
• Support PMs with subcontractor payments and coding to correct job phases.
• Route bills for PM approval before Accounts Payable.
• Create routine job cost reporting and assist with invoicing closeout.
• Track project logs (RFI/submittals) and keep information flowing.
• Provide reception coverage and order office supplies.
