Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead on-site program activities, supervise staff, and drive participant enrollment and progress in high-impact educational initiatives.

The role emphasizes collaboration with school partners, data collection for APR, and development of summer enrichment and tutoring programs to support college readiness and degree attainment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education, counseling, social work, higher education administration, or an appropriate field related to Project objectives.
• Master’s degree preferred in education, social work or counseling.
• Experience with federal TRIO programs, academic support programs, or similar programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate and recommend staff for hire.
• Collect and submit data for the Annual Performance Report (APR).
• Monitor and document participant academic progress and develop improvement plans.
• Develop and implement tutoring and enrichment programs for participants.
• Plan and conduct college or career tours and workshops.
• Maintain project files and ensure documentation of services.
• Report progress to Director and assist in annual program reporting.
