Job summary

Almac Group seeks a Project Coordinator, Distribution to join the Souderton, PA team, supporting the distribution of clinical materials and ensuring compliant, timely shipment operations.

The role involves gathering customer information, creating operational documents, and collaborating with Quality, Warehouse, Logistics and other departments to resolve issues. Hybrid work is available after six months on-site.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor's with 6+ months customer and/or community service experience or an Associate degree with 2+ years' work experience or HS / GED with 4+ years' work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and interpret project-related customer-supplied information, define requirements and generate documentation to support operational distribution staff.
  • Provide timely information/documentation required for management of materials for upcoming shipments (receipts, RI management, lot release activities and IRT setups).
  • Advise the Project Distribution Lead of issues or delays and escalate to the Project Team or Project Group Manager as appropriate; coordinate with Quality, Warehouse, Logistics, Import Services and Temperature Services.
  • Establish distribution protocols in COSMOS to ensure accurate and complete setup of all items, Autoship, Depots, Returns, JIT, and distribution-related activities.

Job description

Almac Group is currently seeking a Project Coordinator, Distribution to join our Souderton, PA team.

The Project Distribution Coordinator main objective is to support the Project Distribution Lead by gathering, interpreting, and clarifying customer supplied information and transforming it into operational documents required for successful delivery of clinical material distribution. The Coordinator will assist the Lead with all tasks associated with distribution at any Almac Clinical Services site. The principal function of the project services department is the day-to-day management of all customers across any Almac Clinical Services (ACS) site.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Gather and interpret project-related customer-supplied information, defining requirements and generating associated documentation to support operational distribution staff in the shipment of finished goods, components, and ancillary materials. Generate clear written instructions for the distribution and return, if applicable, of materials, ensuring full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Provide timely information/documentation required for the management of the materials required for upcoming shipments. This includes receipt of customer supplied materials, Almac supplied materials, RI management, lot release activities and IRT set ups so that request for shipment are successfully dispatched.
  • Advise the Project Distribution Lead of any issues or delays arising throughout the course of the project, escalating to the Project Team or Project Group Manager as appropriate. Work with internal departments to resolve issues, including Quality, Warehouse, Logistics, Import Services, and Temperature Services.
  • Establish distribution protocols in COSMOS to ensure accurate and complete set up of all items, Autoship, Depots, Returns, JIT, and distribution related activities.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work experience required
  • Bachelor's with 6+ months customer and/or community service experience or an Associate degree with 2+ years' work experience or HS / GED with 4+ years' work experience
  • Customer service knowledge
Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or business related field preferred
  • Pharmaceutical or clinical supplies industry experience.
  • Project management experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical trials and the pharmaceutical industry, knowledge of the contract packaging industry, or knowledge of logistics/supply chain management
  • Knowledge of the packaging and distribution of clinical trial medication highly preferred
