Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking an Assistant Project Controls Manager to support the Properties Department in managing financials across capital projects. You will work to ensure timely project completion while maintaining audit compliance, collaborating with Finance and 24 branches.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and 1–3 years of facilities/project management experience, with 3–5 years preferred, plus proficiency in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Blue Beam.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, project management, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of facilities/project management experience required; 3–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Properties Department to manage procurement and financial elements of capital projects.
• Oversee project budgets and trackers, updating status and change orders.
• Ensure procurement guidelines are followed and bids/contracts are properly documented.
• Review invoices and ensure timely payment; obtain lien waivers; manage project closure forms.
• Collaborate with Finance and branch staff on accounting and billing compliance.
