Job summary

System One is hiring a Project Controls Specialist for a Direct Hire, onsite role in Spartanburg, SC. You will support planning, cost control, and scheduling, updating Primavera P6 and MS Project, and report on cost and schedule performance.

You will help develop EVA and KPIs, manage risk, and ensure compliance with contracts and company policies while collaborating with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project controls, cost control, scheduling, or related role.
• Experience in industrial construction is preferred.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, cost control, scheduling, and reporting to keep projects on time and budget.
• Develop and update schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Monitor progress against baselines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and change orders.
• Track expenditures and ensure alignment with budgets.
• Maintain project documentation for compliance and audits.
• Provide regular cost/schedule performance dashboards to managers.
• Assist in EVA and KPIs development.
• Support risk management and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and contracts.
