Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Manager with deep expertise in CMiC's contract change management functionality, including Potential Change Items (PCIs), Owner Change Orders (OCOs), and Subcontract Change Orders (SCOs) — as well as Cost Forecasting. This individual will serve as the organization's subject‑matter expert on CMiC administration, ensuring change events are tracked accurately from origination through owner and subcontractor execution, and that cost forecasts remain current and reliable throughout the project lifecycle. Working knowledge of Procore and a solid understanding of construction project workflows (from preconstruction through closeout) are essential, as this role bridges financial/ERP systems with field and project management operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

CMiC Administration

  • Serve as the primary system administrator for CMiC, managing user access, security roles, workflows, approval hierarchies, and system configurations.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with CMiC support/vendor resources, and manage upgrades, patches, and new module rollouts.
  • Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and integrations between CMiC and other business systems.
  • Develop and maintain CMiC administration documentation, SOPs, and training materials.

Contract Change Management (PCIs, OCOs, SCOs)

  • Administer and maintain CMiC's change management module, ensuring Potential Change Items (PCIs) are logged, priced, and tracked accurately from identification through resolution.
  • Process and manage Owner Change Orders (OCOs), including pricing, markups, contract value updates, and proper linkage to originating PCIs.
  • Process and manage Subcontract Change Orders (SCOs), ensuring subcontractor cost changes are accurately reflected and reconciled against related OCOs and PCIs.
  • Maintain the integrity of change order logs, approval workflows, and audit trails within CMiC, ensuring proper sequencing and linkage between PCI → OCO → SCO records.
  • Train and support project teams and accounting staff on proper change order entry, approval routing, and best practices within CMiC.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies between committed costs, contract values, and change order data, and work with project teams to resolve them.

Cost Forecasting

  • Support and administer CMiC's Cost Forecasting functionality, ensuring forecasted costs, committed costs, and projected final costs remain accurate and up to date.
  • Work with project managers and project accountants to ensure forecast updates properly reflect approved PCIs, OCOs, and SCOs.
  • Monitor budget-to-forecast variances and help identify data or process issues driving inaccurate projections.
  • Generate and maintain cost forecasting reports and dashboards to support project and executive-level financial reviews.

Construction & Cross-Platform Systems Knowledge

  • Apply working knowledge of Procore to support integration, data alignment, and workflow consistency between Procore and CMiC.
  • Understand core construction project lifecycle concepts — estimating, budgeting, contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, subcontractor/vendor management, and job cost reporting — to align system configurations with real project needs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, project accountants, and field teams to ensure systems reflect and support actual construction workflows.
  • Act as a liaison between IT, Finance, and Operations/Project teams on technology-driven process improvements.

Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications include:

  • 5+ years of hands‑on CMiC administration experience, including system configuration, security, and workflow management.
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience managing PCIs, OCOs, and SCOs within CMiC, including how these records flow into contract values and committed costs.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMiC's Cost Forecasting module and how forecast data ties to budgets, commitments, and change orders.
  • Working knowledge of Procore, including its core project management and financial modules.
  • Solid understanding of construction project processes, terminology, and the project lifecycle (preconstruction through closeout).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to train and support users at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating or reconciling CMiC with Procore or other construction management platforms.
  • Prior experience in the construction, engineering, or real estate development industry, PM support capacity.
  • Familiarity with AI Tools (Claude, CoPilot, CMiC BI, etc)
  • Experience auditing or cleaning up legacy change order data within CMiC.
