Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead a team delivering budget, schedule, and cost control for a major program. You will manage estimates, forecasting, and PMIS, coordinating with operations, design, and construction to ensure program success.

You will mentor staff, develop standard procedures, and present clear metrics to Jacobs and client management. This hybrid role requires travel to sites and offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years of progressive project controls experience on large projects/programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, project management, or construction management (or equivalent).
• Experience in cost engineering functions: estimating, control, risk, and variance analysis.
• Experience building Primavera P6 cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules.
• Ability to develop and implement standard project controls procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact for Operations, PMs, and client on project controls services.
• Ensure alignment between design, operations, and construction to support program needs.
• Attend and support operations status review meetings.
• Maintain project budget integrity through approved scope changes.
• Support estimate development and cost forecasting.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded P6 schedules for forecasting and planning.
• Monitor, analyze, and report progress, cost, and schedule variances.
• Flag significant overruns or underruns and suggest corrective actions.
• Plan and budget project controls resources and systems.
• Communicate effectively with Jacobs and client management.
