Job summary

QCS Staffing is seeking a Project Controls Manager for an Ohio-based life sciences megaproject, a 12-month initial contract. You will oversee cost, schedule, risk, change and estimating activities and drive governance and reporting standards.

Lead a multi-disciplinary project controls team, develop execution plans, baselines and KPIs aligned to scope, procurement, construction, commissioning and turnover.

Qualifications

• Senior project controls leadership on large CAPEX projects.
• Experience leading integrated controls across cost, schedule, risk, change and estimating.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary project controls teams.
• Strong knowledge of EAC, forecasting, cash flow, contingency and cost risk.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 for schedule governance.

Project Controls Manager – US, Ohio – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Project Controls Manager to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What You’ll Deliver

• Lead the project controls function across cost, schedule, risk, change, estimating and commercial reporting.
• Develop and maintain the Project Controls Execution Plan, including controls standards, reporting cadence, templates, KPIs and governance expectations.
• Lead and coordinate the project controls team, including Cost Lead, Schedule Lead, Risk Lead, Change Manager, Estimators, QS resources and reporting professionals.
• Establish and maintain integrated cost and schedule baselines aligned to scope, procurement strategy, construction execution, commissioning, qualification and turnover.

What you’ll need:

• Senior project controls leadership experience on large CAPEX projects, ideally $500M+ and preferably $1B+.
• Proven experience leading integrated controls across cost, schedule, risk, change, estimating and reporting, rather than only one discipline.
• Experience managing or coordinating multi-disciplinary project controls teams.
• Strong understanding of EAC, ETC, forecasting, commitments, cash flow, contingency, variance analysis and cost risk.
• Strong schedule governance capability, including integrated master schedules, critical path, progress measurement, recovery planning and P6.
