Job summary

QCS Staffing is seeking a Project Controls Director for a US-based Ohio-based life sciences CAPEX project on an initial 12-month contract. You will lead the Project Controls function, oversee cost, schedule, forecasting, earned value, risk and change management, and integrate these into a single performance view for senior leadership.

You will partner with Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Finance to ensure robust governance and accurate forecasting through construction, commissioning

Qualifications

• Experience leading Project Controls on pharma CAPEX projects.
• Full lifecycle exposure: setup through close-out.
• Strong cost, schedule and EV management expertise.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and SAP or similar
• Ability to deliver executive-level project reporting.

Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project that’s transforming how medicines are made.
We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Project Controls Director to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What You’ll Deliver

• Lead the Project Controls function across a major pharmaceutical CAPEX programme, providing strategic oversight of cost, schedule, forecasting, earned value, risk and change management.
• Integrate cost, schedule, forecasting and earned value into a single view of project performance, enabling senior leadership to understand where the project is against its baseline and drive informed decision-making.
• Develop and deliver executive-level reporting, providing clear insights into project performance, key risks, forecast outcomes and recovery strategies to senior stakeholders.
• Drive leadership, accountability and continuous improvement across the Project Controls team, challenging contractors and project teams where necessary to improve project performance and delivery.
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure robust project controls governance, accurate forecasting and successful delivery through construction, commissioning and operational readiness.

What you’ll need

• Proven Project Controls leadership experience on pharmaceutical manufacturing CAPEX projects.
• Experience managing Project Controls across the full project lifecycle, from project setup through engineering, construction, forecasting, commissioning and close-out.
• Strong expertise in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, earned value, risk and change management.
• Advanced experience with Primavera P6 and SAP (or equivalent ERP/cost management systems).
• Proven ability to integrate cost, schedule and earned value into executive-level reporting and project performance metrics
