Project Controls Director - US, Ohio - 12 Month Contract

Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project that is transforming how medicines are made. We are supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi billion dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We are looking for a Project Controls Director to join the team and help deliver this world class program.

What you’ll do

• Establish and implement the overall project controls framework, including cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, governance, and performance management processes.
• Develop mechanisms to track project costs, including commitments, actuals, monthly cash flow forecasts, change management, risk management, project savings against budget estimates, and internal cost transfers.
• Work closely with the Project Management Team to confirm and validate the overall project budget through detailed cost analysis.
• Develop and implement integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, including WBS development, logic ties, and resource‑loaded schedules aligned with project deliverables.

What you’ll need

• Take full ownership of the project budget and ensure compliance with internal processes and industry best practices for cost control and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain detailed project forecasts, incorporating commitments, actual spend, and projected cash flow.
• Utilize SAP and internal systems to extract and analyze cost data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
• Define and manage the project’s earned value framework, establishing clear measurement of planned versus actual performance.
• Provide accurate visibility of where the project should be versus where it is, using earned value principles to drive insights and corrective actions.
• Utilize corporate engineering templates (Excel based) and/or develop enhanced reporting tools to maintain detailed forecasts, including commitments, actuals, and cash flow projections.
