Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist in Houston, TX, to lead project controls with the PM team. You will set up projects in the Enterprise Planning & Controls system, analyze data, develop WBS, and maintain scheduling and cost reporting across multiple projects.

The role requires a Bachelor in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and at least 3 years of direct project controls experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; 3 years of direct project controls experience required.
• Or applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes with the PM team to deliver within budget and schedule.
• Set up projects in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
• Analyze data, review logs, and run reports.
• Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts.
• Interface with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to review costs.
• Develop and present a cash flow report and various schedules.
• Monitor resource loading and support IPPM.
