Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls with the PM team, ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule. You will set up projects in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software, analyze data, generate reports, and manage cash flows for multiple initiatives.

The role requires a degree in construction management or engineering and 3 years of project controls experience, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; 3 years of direct project controls experience required.
• OSHA 10-hour certification is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling tools (Primavera P6).

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes with the internal PM team to manage budget and schedule.
• Set up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls software and develop schedules and cost reports.
• Analyze data, run reports, and maintain cash flows and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Develop, review, and present earned value management and progress reporting.
• Coordinate with accounting on costs and contingency review; support external audits.
• Review change orders and manage scheduling logic, resource loading, and IPPM meetings.
• Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
