Job summary

Rex Moore Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Manager in California to enhance forecast reliability and enforce Project Operational Standards across projects. You will oversee audits, cost and schedule validation, and risk escalation while maintaining independence.

Lead FP&A collaboration, improve labor productivity analysis, and drive project performance with strong analytical and leadership skills. This role is office-based in California with opportunity for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction or project controls.
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to interpret contracts, schedules, and financial information.
• Experience with ERP, scheduling, BIM/VDC, BI platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and validate compliance with Project Operational Standards and audit program.
• Perform project performance validation and identify leading indicators of forecast deterioration.
• Own and facilitate project health reviews and risk assessments.
• Validate startup and lessons learned; root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with Finance and FP&A for forecasting and reporting.
• Report findings and recommend corrective actions without directing project recovery.
• Maintain independence in evaluating project performance and forecasts.
