Job summary

DPR Construction in California seeks an experienced Project Controls leader to oversee the implementation and management of project controls across multiple projects, ensuring consistent application of planning, scheduling, cost control, and forecasting.

The role provides leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to project teams and controls personnel to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable project data, with a strong emphasis on risk and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12–15 years of experience in construction cost, schedule, and project controls management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages project controls processes for multiple projects, ensuring alignment with DPR standards, Project Controls Plan and owner requirements.
• Leads development and review of project execution plans, forecasts, and progress reports.
• Analyzes project performance data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to project teams and leadership.
• Provides oversight for cost management, schedule development, change management, and cash flow forecasting.
• Mentors Project Controls Managers and Specialists, promoting capability building and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborates with owners, project executives, and finance to ensure consistency in performance reporting and risk assessment.
• Drives process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and data transparency.
