Job summary

Rex Moore seeks a seasoned Project Controls Manager to enhance predictability and ensure adherence to project standards. You will lead audits, validate forecasts, and identify early indicators of risk while coordinating with VP Operations.

The role emphasizes ownership of controls rather than day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of project financials, scheduling, and change management, with experience in electrical construction.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in electrical construction, specialty contracting, construction project management, operations, or project controls.
Strong understanding of project financial management, CTC forecasting, control budgets, labor productivity, physical progress, manpower planning, and construction scheduling.
Ability to interpret construction contracts, schedules, project reports, and financial information and recognize unsupported assumptions or emerging risk.

Responsibilities

Monitor and validate compliance with established Project Operational Standards and required project controls.
Own and administer a formal Project Operational Audit Program covering start-up, forecasting, labor/schedule controls, and change management.
Evaluate project forecasts, labor and schedule performance, and commercial exposure; escalate material risks.
Define project controls metrics, validation methods, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate with Finance/FP&A for validated project-level information and budgeting.
