Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer I to interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and resolving field coordination issues with project team members.

Responsibilities include interpreting plans for subcontractors, maintaining quality plans, managing submittals and change orders, and mentoring field engineers while coordinating safety and compliance to keep

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field is required.
• Minimum of two years related construction experience.
• Attention to detail to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, professional attitude and customer service orientation.
• Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons.
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan.
• Obtain and maintain construction permits; manage fee payments and recurring expenses.
• Develop and maintain Material Tracking List and project logs.
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents.
• Establish handling procedures for electronic documents (RFIs, correspondence).
• Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers.
• Coordinate safety and compliance for all team members.
• Maintain schedule of timelines and ensure completion.
