Job summary

T1 Energy is building a domestic solar manufacturing facility in Wilmer, Texas and seeks a Project Controls Engineer to manage schedules, cost tracking, reporting, and document control across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

You’ll report to the Project Control Director and develop and maintain project control systems, delivering data-driven insights to guide decision-making. This hands-on role balances rigor with speed in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience on large capital projects in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
• Hands-on experience building/managing schedules with Primavera P6.
• Experience in cost management during construction is a plus
• Proficiency with scheduling and cost tools (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Build and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, including earned value and variance analysis.
• Monitor schedule and cost performance, identify risks and trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain change control, including schedule impacts, cost impacts, and documentation.
• Prepare executive-ready reporting on schedule health, cost status, risks, and recovery plans.
• Support contractor and vendor schedule reviews and progress validation.
• Improve project controls processes, tools, and standards as the company scales.
