Job summary

T1 Energy Inc. has an opening for an Equipment Technician II to lead maintenance and optimization of our automated solar production lines at our Wilmer, Texas facility. You will diagnose complex issues, perform advanced repairs, and partner with Engineering to implement process improvements.

You will mentor junior technicians, train production staff, and generate data-driven reports for leadership while maintaining equipment records and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in machinery, electronics and automation.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in photovoltaics or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
• Proficient with data analysis tools (MS Excel).
• Willing to work shifts and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Train junior production personnel.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions independently with minimal supervision.
• Generate and analyze data for leadership reporting.
• Understand factory equipment structure and improve maintenance skills.
• Conduct regular inspections to prevent equipment failures.
• Maintain operation and maintenance records for equipment.
• Identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery.
• Assist with aligning machines during installation using precision tools.
• Support in repairing issues with new equipment.
• Follow schedules and ensure maintenance quality.
• Prolong equipment life and improve utilization.
• Adhere to safety rules and installation standards.
