Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator (Finance) to manage project accounting, data entry and the control environment for Pike Engineering. The role collaborates with project controllers, billers, finance and operations to improve accuracy and timeliness.

The position requires 3–5 years in project controls or accounting, a Bachelor's in Business (or equivalent), and ideally a Master's in Business or Data Analytics; proficiency with Excel and GP/Oracle is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or 5 years' equivalent experience required.
• Master's degree in Business or Data Analytics preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in project controls, project management, accounting.

Responsibilities

• Create, document and analyze project accounting processes.
• Maintain, revise and oversee the Company's standard cost system for Pike Engineering.
• Supervise monthly project accounting exception reporting and month end closing activities for GP.
• Analyze cost data, estimate financial performance of the project and provide revenue recognition.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of overall project budget and financial status.
• Conduct monthly review process with project managers to evaluate project performance.
• Work with contract administration to prepare project accounting set-up.
• Monitor the coding of timesheets, purchase orders, and vendor invoicing.
• Facilitate weekly/monthly/milestone invoice generation.
• Journal entry prep and standard accruals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
