Job summary

United Grid Solutions in Allentown, PA, is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to manage project accounting data entry, cost control, and close processes for Pike Engineering. This role partners with project controllers, billers, finance and operations to improve accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in project controls or accounting, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel and ERP experience. On-site position with standard benefits; training provided.

Qualifications

• Must document and analyze project accounting processes.
• Maintain and oversee the company’s standard cost system.
• Coordinate monthly project accounting close and GP reporting.
• Understand project budgets and financial status.
• Experience with timesheet coding, POs, and vendor invoicing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• GP and Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with contract administration to prepare project accounting set-up
• Monitor the coding of timesheets, purchase orders, and vendor invoicing
• Facilitate weekly/monthly/milestone invoice generation
• Journal entry prep and standard accruals

SUMMARY:

The Project Controls Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of project accounting, maintaining all aspects of project data entry and its associated control environment for Pike Engineering. He or she will manage and coordinate the processes and workflow with project controllers and billers, work closely with finance and operations to enhance project data entry accuracy and processing timeliness.

1. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret spreadsheets
2. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
3. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
