Job summary

United Utility Services in Canton, MS is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support cost controls, scheduling, and analytics across diverse utility construction projects. The role collaborates with Project Management and Accounting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of scheduling and cost controls experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in Primavera P6, with a BS in a related field.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with proactive pursuit of underlying details to assess project risks.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to diagnose and solve problems under time pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Efficient data capture and analysis using enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Bachelor of Science in Project/Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or degree equivalency.
• 2+ years of project scheduling experience.
• 2+ years of project cost controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly close with cost and revenue accruals and variance analysis.
• Develop EAC templates and forecasts with project managers.
• Identify risks and opportunities in forecast analyses.
• Support process improvements for financial systems and dashboards.
• Prepare variance analyses, internal project reviews and PSRs.
• Monitor costs and manpower to ensure budgets and correct job numbers.
• Process contract Change Orders and cost transfers.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and assist with project status communications.
• Other duties as assigned.
