Job summary

STV is seeking a Project Controls Analyst for its Buildings group in Philadelphia. The role centers on safeguarding the financial health of the project portfolio through Deltek Vantagepoint, producing actionable reports, and partnering with PMs to track budget, cost, and schedule performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project controls within A/E/C environments, strong Excel and ERP experience, and excellent communication skills to drive insights across disciplines and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years in project controls, project accounting, or financial analysis in A/E/C environments.
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Hands-on with Deltek Vantagepoint or comparable ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and cross-disciplinary communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain project records in Deltek Vantagepoint with budgets and billing terms.
• Prepare monthly project financial reports by phase and discipline.
• Track variances and provide burn-rate analyses for PMs.
• Develop EAC models for active projects across phases.
• Coordinate AR activities including invoice prep and follow-up.
• Review timesheets and labor allocations for compliance.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis for scope changes and contract mods.
• Ensure consistent reporting across architecture, engineering, and subconsultants.
• Assist with annual financial audits and reconciliation schedules.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for project visibility.
• Produce staffing forecasts by discipline and maintain capacity reports.
• Collaborate with PMs to maintain schedules and remaining effort.
• Monitor project health via schedule, financial, and resource metrics.
• Identify staffing shortages and advise Area Leadership.
• Standardize PM reporting across all disciplines.
• Support portfolio reviews with performance and staffing reports.
