Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Project Controls Analyst in Phoenix to join a collaborative, design-focused environment. You will work with PMs, PAs, and leadership to ensure financial success of buildings projects through earned value management and ISO 9001 compliance.

The role emphasizes building work breakdown structures, monitoring schedules, coordinating change orders, reviewing time/expenses, and producing monthly financial reports to support project profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or finance preferred with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent.
• Experience in architecture, construction or business analytics preferred.
• Prior Oracle experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Gain proficient knowledge of the Oracle Project BI Management Dashboard, IPM & PURS tools and PM framework processes.
• Provide support to develop Work Breakdown Structure for project execution and monitoring.
• Assist PM with work plan implementation and analysis of work plan against schedule.
• Assist with contract preparation and submission through legal compliance review and insurance certificates if necessary.
• Coordinate with subcontractors by preparing agreements, change orders, and tracking budgets.
• Assist in preparation and tracking of change order requests to Clients.
• Review time and expenses charged to projects and coordinate adjustments.
• Assist PMs with monthly financial reports and communicate billing plans to PAs.
• Assist PM with tracking budget and schedule, mitigating risk, and ensuring deliverables go through review.
• Reviews Client/contract invoicing requirements and ensures accuracy and completeness.
• Assist PMs with outstanding Accounts Receivables – coordinating with finance and/or Client.
• Assist PMs with ETC requirements utilizing the tools mentioned above.
• Assist Operations Project Controls Lead in training Project Managers and identifying areas for improvement.
