Job summary

PCI Federal, based in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a Project Controls Accountant to support the Street Legal Corporate Office. This 100% on-site role reports to the Corporate Director of Finance and Administration.

The job involves Costpoint project setup, baselining, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close support to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely management updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business.
• 5+ years of project accounting for government contracts.
• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint Project Module.
• Strong MS Office and SharePoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs Project Setup in Costpoint (including new awards, modifications, etc.).
• Develops project cost/schedule baselines and budgets.
• Monitors project actuals and resolves issues.
• Monitors outstanding project commitments (e.g., travel, subcontracts).
• Develops monthly project financial forecasts/EACs and conducts variance analysis.
• Monitors the project's burn rate against funding remaining.
• Initiates and routes at risk forms for projects that are required to perform at risk.
• Analyze project reports to identify and resolve issues.
• Performs monthly unbilled analysis.
• Communicates project status and findings to Project and Operations Management monthly at a minimum.
• Assist accounting with Month End Close - providing project financial data and resolving questions.
• Identifying and analyzing project risk.
• Track, review, and approve contract required uplift (COLA, Danger Pay, etc.).
• Development and execution of internal and external project reviews.
• Assist in Contract Closeouts
