WestLand has an exciting opportunity for a Project Controller to join our rapidly growing team. WestLand's flexible work environment means that the successful candidate may be based in any WestLand office. The Project Controller will work with Project Managers on budgets, billings, and financial reporting.
What will I be doing?
- Assisting Project Teams with project planning, execution, and closeout.
- Helping to ensure that project activities follow Company policy, accounting principles, and contractual obligations.
- Monitoring project expenditures and budget variances then communicating potential issues.
- Generating project specific monitoring reports.
- Creating, tracking, and processing project-related invoices.
- Interface with internal and external clients to proactively solve problems and promote healthy relationships. This role is often focused on customer service and requires strong people skills.
What qualifications are required for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Additional years of experience may substitute for education requirements.
- Two (2) or more years of project or accounting related experience required. Experience in a consulting environment would be considered an asset
- Customer service mindset.
- Demonstrated skills in Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Experience with Deltek (Vantagepoint or Vision) strongly preferred.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral).
The wage range for this position is $69,000 - $90,000 annually.
