Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager I to own the project QC program on a single site. You will maintain the ITP, schedule field and lab tests, verify technician certifications, and produce daily QC reports while tracking nonconformances with engineers and superintendents.

The role advances through levels as you manage larger programs with a team of inspectors and technicians. Sponsorship for certifications may be available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of the technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records (preparatory, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
