Job summary

Valero invites undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Science/Management to join the Valero Intern Program at multiple refinery sites, including Texas City. The internship supports turnaround and capital projects, focusing on product quality, production, scheduling and cost while adhering to safety and environmental objectives.

Major Accountabilities

Assists Refinery Turnaround and Capital Project groups with construction, commissioning and startup of refinery projects relative to product quality, production, schedule and cost while meeting the company's safety, environmental, and economic objectives.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, required.
• Overall GPA of 3.2 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale, preferred.
• Graduation dates of August 2027 through May 2029, required.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, required.
• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.
