Job summary

Valero invites motivated students to join the Valero Intern Program in the United States. Interns will support refinery construction, commissioning and startup activities, gaining hands-on experience across production, quality and schedule considerations.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction fields, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2, and be available to work 40 hours per week on-site. Completion may require a TWIC card and successful pre-employment steps.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale preferred.
• Graduation dates Aug 2027 through May 2029 required.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person.

Major Accountabilities

Assists Refinery Turnaround and Capital Project groups with construction, commissioning and startup of refinery projects relative to product quality, production, schedule and cost while meeting the company's safety, environmental, and economic objectives.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, required.
• Overall GPA of 3.2 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale, preferred.
• Graduation dates of August 2027 through May 2029, required.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, required.
• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.
