Job summary

Herzog Energy, Inc. in St. Joseph, MO is seeking a Closeout Engineer to join our team. You will work with project staff to manage the construction closeout process, review contracts and governing documents, and develop closeout tools such as SOPs, progress reports, and checklists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four-year degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data management systems such as Procore, HCSS, and PMWeb.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Experience with AI-driven programs is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment with other Closeout Engineers and project staff.
• Read and understand contracts, project specifications, Federal requirements, and other governing documents.
• Develop and maintain closeout tools such as SOPs, project progress reports, tracking mechanisms, and closeout checklists.
• Coordinate with project staff to conduct audits and reviews to determine project compliance and closeout progress.
• Assist project staff with managing the construction closeout process as needed.
• Train project staff on closeout tools and processes.
• Travel required.
• Promote Herzog’s culture and punctual attendance.
