Job summary

S&ME is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to manage project invoicing, WIP updates, and collections within our hybrid-finance team. You will collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate billing across diverse engineering projects and contract terms.

The role emphasizes setup of project data, timely invoice generation, and adherence to monthly closing schedules. A background in accounting/finance and 3+ years in project billing is preferred; ESOP culture and professional growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of project billing experience.
• Experience with KPI reporting and dashboards is a plus.
• Familiarity with WIP and invoicing processes in engineering/construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and generate client invoices and attach all required documentation.
• Update WIP reporting and assist project managers with billing milestones.
• Set up project information in the accounting system per contract terms.
• Post, distribute, and finalize invoices within deadlines; support collections as needed.
