Mason Technologies is hiring a Billing Specialist to join our Deer Park, NY team. You will handle project-based invoicing, progress billing, and change orders while maintaining strong client relationships to ensure timely payments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.
• Experience with project-based billing (progress, change orders).
• Payroll and prevailing wage experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and ERP proficiency.
• Excellent communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue project-based invoices (progress, milestone, change orders).
• Ensure billing aligns with contracts, job progress, and docs.
• Coordinate with PMs, Operations, and Accounting to validate billing.
• Maintain billing records in ERP system.
• Assist with certified payroll reporting and union requirements.
• Support compliance with union agreements and audits.
• Outreach via phone and email for outstanding invoices.
• Build relationships with customers, AP contacts, and municipal clients.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Investigate billing discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Document client interactions and collection efforts.
• Generate billing, AR aging, and collections reports.
• Assist month-end close related to billing.
• Collaborate across departments to improve accuracy and cash flow.
