Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking temporary PAUT Technicians to support Turnaround/Outage/Project work across the United States. The role is part of the U.S.

Workforce Deployment Team with assignments varying by project needs. Responsibilities include performing PAUT inspections, calibrating equipment, interpreting data, and preparing comprehensive reports. Ideal candidates hold a Level II PAUT certification, read engineering drawings, and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Level II PAUT certification per Written Practice (SNT-TC-1A, CP-189, or NAS-410).
• Documented classroom training and experience hours to maintain Level II certification.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
• Able to pass pre-employment and client drug/alcohol screenings.
• Strong understanding of UT principles and PAUT techniques.
• Able to read engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Proficient with MS Office and inspection reporting software.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform PAUT inspections per codes, standards, procedures and customer specs.
• Set up, calibrate and operate PAUT equipment for welds, piping and vessels.
• Interpret inspection data to identify discontinuities and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare inspection reports and document test results.
• Verify calibration and perform routine maintenance.
• Review scopes, procedures, drawings and customer requirements.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on all inspections.
• Communicate findings to supervisors, customers and project teams.
• Assist with improving inspection techniques and procedures.
• Support additional NDT methods as qualified.
• Maintain certifications, training and documentation.
• Participate in safety meetings and JHAs.
• Travel to customer sites and work varying schedules.
