Job summary

Acuren is seeking PAUT Technicians for operations in Akron, OH and surrounding areas. This is a callout/travel position requiring up to 90% travel, primarily in pipeline environments. You will perform NDT testing using UT/UTPA/PAUT/CR/DR, develop inspection techniques, and ensure safety and quality on client projects.

Supervisory duties may be assigned as needed. Candidates should have five years of NDT experience, current certifications, and a technical background, with a High School diploma;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Technical background in NDT (UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR) and procedures with five years experience.
• Current NDT certifications in (UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR) required.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods (METHOD/S) of inspection.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on client engagements; escalate as needed.
• Review asset documentation and inspection data; monitor NDE activities.
• Complete integrity assessments including physical site walkdowns when required.
• Prepare project reports describing work, conclusions and recommendations.
• Perform specialized inspections; may instruct and supervise others.
