This temporary, on-call role requires a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or Archaeology, university field school completion, 3–6 months field/lab experience, ability to work outdoors, lift 40–50 pounds, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of a university-based archaeological field school.
  • Minimum of 3–6 months of archaeological field and/or lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct archaeological field surveys, including shovel testing and site documentation, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Collect and record GPS data for field observations and site locations.
  • Clean, label, catalog, and curate artifacts in accordance with lab standards and guidelines.
  • Assist with the maintenance, inventory, and organization of field and lab equipment.
  • Support preparation of documentation, reports, and deliverables for cultural resource management compliance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in all project tasks.
