Job summary

BDG Architects in Dallas, TX seeks a talented Project Architect. This full-time role requires a minimum of seven years’ architecture experience, with construction documentation/administration, and strong Revit proficiency.

Projects span Retail, Banking & Financial Services, and Multi-Family sectors. You will manage projects, coordinate with teams and clients, and help secure ongoing work while ensuring quality from programming through closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of architecture experience including construction documentation and construction administration.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Experience with Retail, Banking & Financial Services and Multi-Family projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of high-quality work.
• Maintain communication with the project team, Principal‑in‑Charge and operations management.
• Establish and enforce project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Coordinate and track budgets and schedules for projects.
• Assist in preparing fee proposals and owner/consultant agreements.
• Ensure efficient delivery from programming through closeout.
• Act as main client contact for assigned projects and help secure ongoing work.
• Oversee all phases of various architectural projects including design development and construction drawings.

Job description

BDG Architects has an immediate need for a talented, creative, and motivated Project Architect. This is a full-time position that will be based out of our Dallas, TX office. A minimum of 7 years of architecture experience including construction documentation and construction administration is required. Must be proficient in Revit. Project types will include Retail, Banking & Financial Services and Multi-Family.

• Be responsible for project management to ensure projects are completed on time, are within budget, of high quality and fulfill client expectations.
• Maintain communication with the project team, the Principal-in-Charge and operations management.
• Establish and improve project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Coordinate and track project budgets and schedules.
• Assist in preparation of fee proposals and agreements with the owner and consultants.
• Ensure efficient project delivery and quality from programming through project closeout.
• Act as primary client contact for specific projects, ensure client development and satisfaction and assist to secure ongoing work.
• Manage and assist with work on all phases of various architectural projects including design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, design review, coordination and correlation of construction drawings and review production drawings and specifications.

Required Skills/Abilities

• General knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in an architectural office is required.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong organizational and time management capability.
• Excel in collaboration and team building.
• Strategic thinking to address issues and new concepts in design, production of documents, and development of detailing
• Demonstrated ability to work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be proficient in software applications including Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Smartsheet.

Education

• Completion of professional architecture degree program
