  • Working knowledge of LEED and sustainable design principles.
  • Proficiency in BIM tools (e.g., Revit) for design and coordination.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes in Houston/Texas.
  • Strong communication, coordination and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects from concept through construction and oversee design development and CD coordination.
  • Coordinate with clients and consultants; manage internal project teams and submittals.
  • Review and prepare submittals; monitor schedules and budgets; ensure code compliance.
  • Oversee BIM model development and guide sustainable design strategies.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and drive projects to successful completion.

Role Description

The Project Architect / Architectural Project Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for leading architectural projects from concept through construction, including design development, coordination of construction documents, and oversight of project schedules and budgets. Day‑to‑day activities include collaborating with clients and consultants, managing internal project teams, reviewing and preparing submittals, and ensuring compliance with building codes and standards. The role also involves overseeing BIM model development, guiding sustainable design strategies where applicable, and supporting quality control throughout all project phases. The Project Architect / Architectural Project Manager will serve as a key point of contact, helping maintain strong client relationships and driving projects to successful completion.

Qualifications
  • Architectural Licensure or pursuing is a plus
  • Strong architectural design and technical skills, with experience in Architecture and coordination of construction documents.
  • Proficiency in project planning and execution, including Project Management and oversight of schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Experience managing and reviewing Submittals and other construction-phase documentation.
  • Working knowledge of sustainable design principles and standards such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
  • Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools (e.g., Revit) for design, documentation, and coordination.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; professional licensure or progress toward licensure preferred.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices, preferably in the Houston or Texas market.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and client-facing skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on multiple concurrent projects.
